~ 5 1/2 Year Update - Things have changed Again!
Funny how after a month of posting my last Update - I go and get diverticulitis again in July AND last month in November!! These times the pains were worse. I refused to take Flagyl and did my rounds of antibiotics with Augmentin and Cipro (July) and Augmentin only in (November). I also had another 2 CTs.. I have my referral for surgery and will be considering it, and scheduling it for 2-3 months from now. I AM SICK OF THIS PAIN. I am so afraid but I would rather have elective surgery than emergency surgery.
Feeling really bummed and trying to snap out of any discouragement I feel about this disease. It is hard not to try and read everything about it and the surgery.
Praying for the best outcome.

So sorry. I am having an attack now after more than 1 1/2 years of not having any. I guess it never ends. The worry. Wishing you well and you making the right decision for you concerning surgery.
I am so sorry to hear about this happening. The constant fear about the flare ups and the side effects of the medication. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers even if I don't post very often.
