i am the guilty one. had an emotional affair, not physical but it\'s the same. i can\'t pretend otherwise. the pain is the same-all around. it was not a secret afterwards though. my husband\'s family and my family and friends know. you have to get support where you can. talk with someone you trust. and her too. i\'m not sure how to get rid of the anger. i know everyone says time heals. it\'s been a year now. husband is still hurting--esp during the holidays or around the time that he found out. it shouldn\'t rob us of the moment NOW. we should make new memories, new moments. it\'s so hard because you both have to rebuild your self esteem. rethink everything. and find ways to reconnect. i\'ve never met the OM. it was an online thing. i was stupid and i still have so much anger at myself. and i wonder who else he is doing it with and if his wife knows. (sorry this is a long comment). good luck and prayers.

I have always protected my H. I never allowed anyone to think bad about him. And after I found out about the affair I still wanted to protect him. I don\'t know why. I don\'t want my family to know or his family. H said he didn\'t care if his parents knew, he just didn\'t feel like \"dealing with them.\" His parents consider me a daughter. We\'ve been married 21 years and dated 5 years before that. I don\'t hate the OW, but I do wish whoever she ends up with cheats on her.
