Today is Friday, June 29, 2007. Obviously I have gotten extremely bad at journaling since I haven’t done so since May 7, 2007, but oh well. Guess it’s just a sign that things have been okay on my end or I would have come here to unload….So needless to say, I just have so much to tell everyone….First of all, I don’t know if I have mentioned this before or not but I have been suffering from an undiagnosed Incisional Hernia for the past year and a half. Here is whom I saw and what was determined….Dr. Holly (one of my old OB/GYN’s partners) - over a year and a half ago – Ultrasound was done but nothing could be foundDr. Jeff (my General Practioner) - over a year and a half ago - stated that having a hernia was very possible and sent me to a SurgeonDr. Lindy (Surgeon) – over a year and a half ago - couldn’t find anything, thought the pain was as a result of scar tissueSandy – (old OB/GYN’s Nurse Practioner) - 7 months ago – concerns ignored and dismissedDr. Laura (my old OB/GYN) - 4 months ago – stated that she’s convinced that a hernia is present but that she wanted to wait until my next C-Section to correct itDr.’s at ER – around a month ago – did a CT Scan done but couldn’t find the herniaAnd finallyDr. Teresa (Surgeon referred to by new OB/GYN) – a week and a half ago – also convinced that there is a hernia and as a result, scheduled Laparoscopic surgery for July 27thWanna know what else is new??? Well, on June 13, 2007 I went in and met with my new OB/GYN. After having a totally and completely wonderful visit with her and after having discussed each and every concern that I had with my previous Pregnancy and Miscarriage she ordered me to go across the hall to have some blood drawn for a Pregnancy test which I did. Anywho, I received a call on June 14, 2007 stating that the pregnancy test was Negative. I was okay with this because I have come to terms with the fact that I will only become pregnant if and when the time is perfect according to God.So anyway, just the other day I was talking to my husband and I told him that due to the fact that the nausea that I had been experiencing as a result of my hernia had been getting much worse, I thought I’d have to bump up my surgery date. He said to make the call, but I decided to do something else first….. I decided to take a home pregnancy test which typically does not work for me anyway, just to make sure that I wasn’t pregnant and guess what, it was positive….. I determined on Wednesday that I am once again PREGNANT!!! While I’m sure that this isn’t going to be news that is easy for everyone to happily wrap their arms around (so to speak), I still feel such a great need to share it. I immediately called my new OB/GYN and told them the results and voiced my concerns over my Progesterone deficiency in the past two pregnancies. They ordered a Stat Beta HcG and Progesterone test and advised me to go have it done as soon as humanly possible (within the next 30 minutes to an hour) which I did. They also told me to go ahead and take one 200mg Prometrium pill after getting back from having the blood work done, that they would call me later on in the afternoon with the results and that at that point in time they would determine what needed to be done and how much if any Prometrium the Doctor wanted for me to be on. Well, they called back at 1:35pm and stated that my Progesterone level is an 11 which according to her is just a little bit low and as a result the Doctor wants me to take the 200mg of Prometrium at bedtime. They also stated that my HcG level was a 63 which only indicates a pregnancy in the very early stages and that she wanted me to have another Stat Blood Test done today so I went ahead and had that done at 8:15am this morning. So now I sit and wait and pray that my levels are increasing because as I know all to well as do many of you that a lack of increase isn’t the best of signs. I am so scared but at the same time I am also honestly trying with all of my might to be happy and excited but I have found that as a result of the miscarriage that the innocence so to speak is pretty much replaced with constant concern and worry. Due to the fact that I am scared to death I ask that you, my dear friends please say an extra prayer for me and for us. I’ll keep you posted on how things are going….. In the mean time know that each and every one of you is thought of and prayed for daily… Continue to take care of and be good to yourself….. Gina
