Woke up with a hangover which will be my last! Feeling grateful for that. Joined this support group and received some really good advice and encouragement from total strangers who did not judge me and accepted me openly.
Told my son that I was giving up alcohol as my New Year's resolution. He seemed a bit skeptical.
My list of why I have to do this:
For the love and respect of my son
For the love and respect of my husband
For the love and respect of myself.
Failure is not an option. If I drink again, I will effectively be committing suicide.
