OK, so I am NOT getting my hopes up until i hear the phone ring today, but the guy who wes me money is SUPPOSED to come by between 11 and 12. He called me last night and apologized for not coming by the other day, blah blah blah...anyway, we will see if he comes through.
Also, I got a 2-week job assignment through one of the temp services I signed up with. I start on Monday. Its just working in the mail room at a hospital doing a bulk mailing (probably Xmas cards or something)..stuffing envelopes and doing mailing labels. I can do that for $9 an hour for 2 weeks, I guess. Not much money, but its better than nothing. Also, today I have to take an online test for an at-home job for medical transcription. Let's just hope I get it.
You know what's weird... I don't have to work around anyone's schedule. I don't have to ask him if its "OK" for me to get a job or work a certain shift...I can do whatever I want. hmm. Feels nice.
All I know is, dude needs to give me my money today.

Good for you. You have to start somewhere. It\'s alot easier to get a job when you have a job. Just keep plugging away and everything will work itself out. It is nice not having to answer to anyone and being able to be your own person. Good luck on the test. And I hope you get paid.
I FINALLY got paid! I had to go track the guy down at his house...and I got shorted $70, but oh well...I took it!
