OK....I hoped that today would be a better day for me and it is! I did a fire insurance data entry job for a friend of a friend....who decided not to pay me for my services..I have been hunting these people down for 5 months now...and guess what! Just a little bit ago I finally got a hold of the guy, who promises to bring the check by in the next hour.. It is the lady's son,and he is very nice and feels badly that I have not gotten paid yet. Please please cross your fingers for me that he shows up...I got my 2nd notice on my door today for eviction and I have to come up with $810 by 12/14. Well, I am getting $570 today (I hope - I don't want to jinx it) and that will all go to rent. I got another call from a service I applied for online and they want me to come in tomorrow for an interview...Things are looking up. I knew they would. I just have to stay positive.God Bless!

That is the worst! I\'m sorry to hear that , I hope things get better for you. Have you ever tried looking for jobs, or sell stuff on craigslist?
good idea chelsa...I just wish I had anything worth a crap to sell.
Oh Jen thank you so much for your comment on my journal entry. There\'s always someone who has it worse, that\'s true. My children won\'t have an x-mas, either. But now I\'m hunkering down and getting off my soap box and going to NOT let my past get the better of me. I\'ll grip the finances somehow...you will too. I don\'t know why the road has to be so hard for some of us...and paved in glitter and gold for others. Makes ya wonder hmm? I feel an amazing amount of embarrassment where my life has come to be. I don\'t understand the rhyme or reason. Bless you my DS friend. Things have changed here, too, much since I joined a year ago. But let\'s you~n~me do something eh? Through all the termoil and hard times, let\'s us remember Liz (amen) and her children (double amen) who are going through their first x-mas without mom. Remember even if we have NOTHING, we have our children ... and they have us. And for that, we should be and are thankful...
Luv you
