sunburned and crabby...hope no one else decides to mess with me here at home...the are all on my nerves right about now. Sometimes I truly believe these kids would be happier without me.I dont know what to do....daughter told me that I ruined her whole childhood ... she doesnt want to be with me any more, etc.. My son (16) told me he didnt want to be with me either..Am I that terrible? I must be. I knew the day would come when the guilt I have inside of me for my past would come to really haunt me and my kids would finally hate my guts and not be afraid to tell me. They are growing up ...almost 17 and 15, and I guess now's the time. Maybe I should just cut them loose and let them go wherever they want. I guess I owe them happiness at some point in their lives. Started this day kinda happy...ending it terrible. Sometimes I just wonder why the hell I am still here.... whats the frickin point? Its either deal with guilt for the rest of my life for being such a terrible mother or just....well I dont know what else...help please. I'm so lost sometimes. I feel like screaming right now...maybe I will just drown my troubles tonight.. i dunno... see ya.

Jen, as mothers we do the best that we can with what we have to work with. And that is what you have done. Could part of the problem be that they are just teenagers? All teenagers dislike their parents at some point, mine certainly did, but somehow they manage to outgrow it. And they would not be happier without you! Daughters need their mothers. Is your daughter in counseling of any kind? After last week, maybe you could consider it.
You are not a terrible mother! They have a way of hurting us like no one else can, and they know it too. Stop beating yourself up, you are a good person.
HUGS!
Karen
You\'re not a terrible mother and your kids are lucky to have a strong, independent mother. Sounds like they\'re just going through their teenage years where they\'re hormonal and rude etc. You did the best you can and beating yourself up of prior decisions will just bring you down.. It takes a lot to raise two kids and even more to deal with two teenage kids. You\'re a good mother and we all know that moms make the world go \'round.
Hugs, Jen...maybe consider some counseling for all...if they don\'t want...then maybe you?
