I'm back
Sorry I haven't been around. This last summer was very busy for me and I felt bad about not being involved in the community here and as a result I stayed away more.
I hope everyone is doing better. I'll try and check in more often.
This summer I finished up my novella, 'Alex Twice Abducted', and published it via kindle and Amazon. So relieved to have it done, but lately I've been thinking of how I could've done it better. Life as a writer is crazy.
My new doctor put me onto Cymbalta/Duloxetine and I'm not sure if I want to continue as he is pushing the dosage up. He had me on one pill a day for the summer and now two pills a day. The one pill a day wasn't a problem, but the two pills has given me some side-effect problems. I'm thinking of going off of it for a month or two and see how I do.... Not sure.
Went to the World Science Fiction Convention in Spokane, Washington and gave away six hundred copies of my novella, 'Alex Twice Abducted.' That was an amazing experience. Thankfully I made it through the five days without any major CFS trouble. Now I just wish I could see some buzz results from all of the effort and cost. I keep myself positive by thinking on the wonderful moments when someone would come up to me and say, "Tim, I've already read your book and I loved it." or "I loved what you did with the dolphin. I've never seen the world from a dolphin's perspective before." Those kinds of positive things made and make me think of the community here. There are so many encouraging people who make this a wonderful place.
Just writing this makes me feel better. Fighting the flu this week. Hugs to all.
