A funny day. I struggled with my work. My required travel plans were all messed up. The person supposed to help me didn't want to listen to me. The tool I was supposed to use to arrange my travel plans didn't work. I did my best to talk pleasantly to those I sought help from. It must've worked, because they were pleasant with me. (I avoided dealing with the one I had trouble working with.) Finally all was worked out.
Later after glancing at the same paragraph of my novel for the nth time, I again looked away desperate to find anything else good, distracting(much good or not), or relaxing to do. Finally I called an older lady I knew who is discouraged about slowly going blind. We had a great chat. Then shortly after I hung up someone called me.
A younger lady friend of mine, one of my beta readers, called. She was checking up on how the novel was going. She hadn't heard from me in a while and was thinking I needed encouragement.
Now I'm looking forward to tackling that scene in the story. Plus my energy hasn't dropped off this afternoon. I'm feeling about as good as it gets nowadays.
As my two year old granddaughter says, tallyho.

So where are you travelling to Tim? Glad you managed to get it sorted out.Great to hear you\'re persevering with your novel, must be a challenge ,but gradually getting there hey.I once thought about writing my story on 32yrs with cfs, but how depressing for anyone to read that, hey . I\'m happy that your energy is holding up better for you, that\'s the best news all round . Is there a time limit on your novel? I\'m not a writer (all math, see the problem, solve it, and move on), but I love to read. I\'ve heard that some of the best and most famous works have been done over long periods of time. Sometimes, they\'ve been shelved for a time and finished later. Then again, some good pieces have been done very quickly, too.
Your 2 year old granddaughter says tallyho???? Boy, she\'s gonna be a mess, isn\'t she? And you\'ll love her all the more for it!
Very admirable that you\'re writing a novel! I love to write as well. Such a great creative outlet for us! I believe being creative in any way is good for the soul. The older lady you called...sounds like my mom. She has macular degeneration and is so frustrated and discouraged about losing her sight. Scary thing!
