Update
Hello, all. I love reading other's journal entries so I decided I should bite the bullet and write something.
My job is often on my mind lately. They are getting ready to send me back east for a week of training. Not sure how that is going to go. My wife didn't want to send me by myself. She's afraid I'll forget where I'm going and get lost, but she can't go. She'll probably phone me multiple times to check up on me. :)
My mother-in-law has been unable to take good care of herself for a few months. Fortunately she finally admitted what everyone knew and let us move her closer. After a couple of weeks of lots of work she is now in assisted living ten minutes from us. The staff really seems to care and we know other people that live there and like living there are happy with the care. Not too many of us are happy about losing freedom and feeling more dependent on others. That sounds very familiar to my CFS ears.
The weeks of work to help get her moved and taken care of maxed me out. Very glad when my wife and I no longer had to go four times a day to take care of her medicine. I was driving to much and working too hard. Glad to be able to dial back. I'm trying to relax and recharge. I need to have my energy at the best I can have it for the trip next month.
Had a birthday on the 22 of April. My wife bought me a large chocolate cake from Costco the evening before my birthday. For those that don't know about those cakes they are incredible, very thick, moist, rich, and great chocolate flavor. I try and eat it with some fruit. Anyway my wife said she brought it home the evening before my birthday so I could have some for breakfast. :) I did with two large glasses of fruit smoothies. Probably didn't help with how my body felt, but it was wonderful.
My writing is progressing slower than I want. Still doing some research for the rewrite and I only have about seven scenes left to write and then it will be done. I need to finish it, but it has been slow. Hard to write when the energy level/motivation is down.
Happy to have people on here to check in with. Wish I could send everyone a smile for their day. I had many people wish me happy birthday via facebook. My cheeks began to hurt from the smiles they gave me. It was good pain.
