Day 3
Success! I even went outside of my comfort zone yesterday and ate the lunch at my volunteer job. I have to admit, however, I wasn't very satisfied with the meal since we had to eat while standing up and still working/serving the seniors. I would take a bite, then have to walk away, and even though I still felt hungry when I finished my plate, I did not have time to grab a helping of something else because we had to cleanup. So I ended up going home and eating more...which is actually another success since I allowed myself to eat more based on my hunger level.
When Gab got home from work, we had a very good talk. I told him (in a round about sort of way) that I need support. And I'm trying to build a support team because I can not do this alone (I am learning). He expressed an interest in wanting to be on my support team, which made me so happy!
As far as my support team; I reached out to Terry a couple of days ago and we are planning a day to meet up. I have the intention to finally tell her about ED. Also, at group last night, my fellow members inspired me to tell my parents as well...SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...This, I need a little time for to build the courage. The good thing is that I can feel a little more confident about coming clean with them now that I'm actually in a state of recovery. Gab had a good a point when I told him about this idea. He said that maybe I should plan to give them ways to act and not act toward me about it (i.e.. trying to fix me, or watching me eat, etc.). At any rate, I am proud to have these goals and, although scary, I look forward to achieving them.
Thank you God for all the inspirations and lessons you revealed to me yesterday. Thank you for guiding down a path of growth, love, evolution, so that everyday I feel more connected to You and my higher self. Thank for this beautiful day and I can't wait to see what you have in store for me today. Please help me to be open to Your guidance. Please help me to hold You in my heart today and act in a way that pleases You. I love You God! Amen
