Stress

So it looks like my oldest son is eloping due to conflicts with his future in laws and the church.   Really upsets me that they would let world pressures start off their marriage.  Also upset as they have only dated 8 months and just not enough time for me.  Told them they should wait, because he asked, but said they are still planning to do it.  Don't know why he asked then.  He knew what my opinion would be as I don't approve of short engagements.  It has been less than 2 months since they got engaged.  They are just frustrated and jumping the gun because of it.
Was really looking forward to a walk with a friend today.  We agreed on 1pm today at 9:30pm last night.  When I went to her house no one was home.  Have not heard from her at all.  Don't know if something happened or if she just forgot.  She has not replied to the emails I sent the last two weeks when we couldn't meet up.  She talked about trying to reschedule if we couldn't do the regular time, but when I couldn't make it she didn't even suggest another time.  Now just no showed. 
I have so much trouble making or keeping friends.
