Last night was crazy-making painful.  I got a full body migraine around four I took an imitrex and a vicodin, then a half, then a vodka - I was still in pain.  The drink helped - over four hours I had four and another vicodin.  I was still in pain, I didn't feel the least tipsy but I could feel the alcohol top off the vicodin enough to choose distraction.  I visited friends and even went with them to a party - that distraction helped too.  I went to bed about 10:30 slept well and woke up without any adverse effects from the alcohol.  The drinks were small and spaced out but GOD did they help.  The migraine could be the movie I started watching at 3 - or the post funeral stress migraine.  probably both.  It was a bad one.  BUT it didn't last over one imitrex so I take that as a blessing. 12/31 - two and half vicodin, one imitrex, four drinks
