Updates..
It's taken me a bit to get back in here.. had an awful time trying to get access - it wouldn't recognize my password and then I couldn't remember what email I used so that made it tough as well.. but I'm IN !! LOL
Here we were 3 weeks into January already and it's been a whirlwind..
Heck in just the last 2 weeks it's been crazy enough.. Had to put our almost 14 year old dog to sleep last weekend - that was beyond incredibly hard. We kept hoping that things would pick up and he'd be better.. he'd have a stretch of great days and we'd get our hopes up and then there'd be a bad one.. We didn't want to make any major emotional decisions over the holidays either but he was eating and everything and still getting around on his own.. Unfortunately when things go down hill they go fast.
Of the 8 puppies, many of them stayed within the family - almost all of them have gotten one form or another of cancer. Our Snuggles is the 3rd Loss in a year.. First went Mom (kidney cancer), then bro (throat cancer) and now our boy. In there somewhere one of the other pups had testicular cancer, and more recently an eye cancer, and one of the others had some kind of cyst on her belly... it's got us all baffled..
His sister was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks back and given 1-4 months to live. She passed away last night in Dad's arms. It's just not been a great time for pets in our world..
This week our other dog turned 5 as did her brother that lives with my inlaws. I'd actually had it in my head she was FOUR but was corrected today - OOPS. My sister turned 34, I celebrate 15 years of living in Ontario as well as 4 years from the date of my Gastric bypass surgery.. Tomorrow our daughter, my stepdaughter turns 20.. that's a hell of a lot of WOOHOO! to cram into one week.. :)
What's new with everybody out there?
