Haven't been on for a few days, things are a little crazy. I've been testing my sugars daily, and they're coming down a little at a time (yay). I don't remember if I'd mentioned hubby's tho'.
On the first day he was teasing me, because I had the needle too deep and pinched myself. He was giving me that "boo hoo muffin" voice the kids love to use all the time.. so I piped up and said ok tough guy .. come here and I'll poke you too!
Well OMG his sugars were more than double mine at over 20!! I just about laid an egg. He tried to dissuade me by blaming it on a possible faulty meter. Diabetes does not run in his family as it does mine, so it has us baffled. Tested him again a couple days later and found that it was about the same. Made an appointment with the doctor for him to have his blood checked. He did the 2 hour test, and they called today we have to go tomorrow to get his results.
Youngest daughter has a nasty cough/cold on top of it, so she's going too. Rescheduled my home visit from the social worker so that hubby doesn't try to downplay the doctor's info -- he can be pretty good at that sometimes.
Took hubby out to celebrate his birthday yesterday, since his birthday was last week and his parents were out of town. Surprised him with a movie "Ghost Rider" and then dinner with his folks, the girls and I. We spent some time shopping in the morning and looking around the mall which we hadn't done in a long while. The girls made good on their promise to keep this a no BS day and a great day was had by all. :)
Eldest didn't come for the visit, and was missed but there's not much we can do about that. He's in some other headspace lately, teenager land or something and figures that his run to mom's house is the way to go. We can only hope he wakes up some day and realizes how many people he hurt on his way to Disneyland.
Sometimes it feels like I'm on a rollercoaster, and for all the people on it, and places it has to stop, that I seem to be the one holding the plate of what's gonna happen; but more as a journal writer than a participant. I don't seem to get to decide where it's going a lot of the time. Though lately at least I'm feeling al ittle more positive about being able to throw a little of "I want" in with all the needs. It's so frustrating.
I got two notes in email this week for new friend requests but when I logged in here there were none.. that's so strange. Anybody hear of that before?
Hope you're all having a great week so far.. let's not dwell on the fact that it's Monday cause it's almost over.. :)

GOSH SO MUCH GOING ON.
DONT KNOW ABOUT THE \'NEW FRIEND\' ISSUE.SORRY JUST NO INFO ON THAT\'
Hey there! I checked out one of those friend requests... it looked just a touch shady. When I followed up it said there wasn\'t anyone or something. But I looked further and discovered they were banned. I suspect they were here to troll for marks and the management terminated their accounts. Good thing considering I would have problems coping with such and I have a fairly good handle on things and I know there are some hear who have more problem than I have coping with things like that.
