464 days.....
...SOBER!
I started this online community the first day I was sober. I have lingered away from it for awhile now, but I feel the need to get myself back into it. Being 464 days sober makes me feel very thankful. My grandmother died last week and the wake/funeral were this past weekend. I realize as I am thinking upon all I have been through with my alcoholism that if I were still drinking today I would have handled losing her in a very horrible way. I was so thankful to had been sober and spend the quality time with my family.
I hope anyone who reads this knows that it takes a lot of work and dedication, but it IS realistically possible to become sober and clean and live a beautiful, healthy life. The key to to surround yourself with supportive people who love you for who you are, not what you do.
