Been having a few rough days.  More so mentally then physically though. Time to see the shrink again I guess (actually I know...appointment is tomorrow after noon).  Had an appointment with the GI doc Tuesday she said labs  look ok.  Blood levels dropping but not  to dangerous levels "lots of my patients  would like to see their levels like these".  Today was the first day that I've called in sick to work since starting treatment.  Didn't sleep well last night and  had some "flu like symptoms" but mainly just couldn't handle the  work environment today.  I hope the appointment with shrink tomorrow will help. I'm really struggling with the mental sides the last week or so, much more so than the physical sides.  GI suggested reducing my hours at work to get thru the next few months.  I'm not ready to do that yet.   I'm ok with letting go of swimming for a while, to see if I've been pushing myself to the point of getting too tired. Considering letting the boss know that I'm on treatment though ....I've been short with a few people and giving LOTS of them the evil eye I'm sure.  smiley-yell.gifNot a good thing when your job is service.  Just don't have the energy to put up with the  normal frustrations that come with the job.  I'm doing the best I can but might be time to let work know what is going on.

Oh I am so glad you wrote I was going to write to you for I felt something was up... I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. Yes its a good idea to let the folks at work know you are on medication or chemo. I just tell folks I am doing some low dose chemo which is true they do this for liver disease. I don\'t usually expand on any more info thats my comfort level. Mine are the physical sides like today I went in to give blood because my hymogoblins are to low and it makes you so tired and I am now anemic never been in my life. SO they will probably lower my dose this week. The results will be in tomorrow so they can make a decision. I am keeping you close to my heart Swimguy and try to be gentle with yourself right now is very important to do that. Its very hard to try to live like you aren\'t on this stuff I only do what I can. Plus you are so lucky you only have to do this half the time that most of us have to do a full 48 weeks.... So take great care and the best to you for tomorrow appt I hope that wil help.... Take your sleeping pills I have broke down and I take them every night now. Talk son ok...... Kitkat

I am so sorry you aren\'t feeling well. I haven\'t been on treatment as they won\'t treat me, but I still have so emotional issues. One of which is amonia levels in my blood. When they get High I just get lost. One time in piticular I was sitting on the edge of the bed and just for a few seconds, I had no idea where I was, and that just freaked me out.
I sure hope you get back to a setteled state.
Take Care, Dave

He Swimguy, I so understand how you feel. Please take care, focus on you. I told my boss that I was on a \'chemo\' tx and that I had so many weeks left. I told him I was not prepared to dscuss the details, but felt it impt that he understand my challenge. He was fantastic and so happy I shared. I had to give up running and the gym (swimming and bkin this summer too) so I know how dissapointing that will be- but we have a special journey right now that needs all of our attn. Make decisions best for you! sending you a BIG HUG! Terri

Man, it must be a bitch when your job is service. Meds will help. If I didn\'t have Xanax I would be telling the suits at work to go F themselves:) Try not to cut back too much on swimming. Its so therapeutic. Even though a lot of people on this site say you should tell your job that you are undergoing treatment I wouldn\'t. My Doc said if I was to tell them anything tell them I am being treated for anemia, or a upper GI problem. Even though people seem cool on the outside ya just never know...especially if they are uneducated about the disease. Its hard to convince people about this disease. Its like trying to convert a Bush supporter that the war might not have been a good idea :)...........Uh oh, I am probably gonna get shit for that one :)
