I went back to work on Thursday. My first day back was not too bad, although I was tired at the end of the day. I had to go and have plasma exchange (6 of 6) on Friday. Luckily, it went very smoothly. I was afraid that my veins would not hold out. I also found out that I'm very anemic. That could be one reason why I'm getting so tired easily.
I'm so behind at work. It is going to take a while to catch up. So I went into work today (Sat) to do a little extra. I only worked 4 hours, but came home pretty much exhausted. Guess I'll go to bed early tonight.
I worry about the future. Dealing with this disease the past few years has been tough. And now I'm really starting to experience the really bad side effects of years of prednisone. I have a 6 year old son and I really want to see him grow up and to be able to enjoy retirement with my dear husband. It takes a lot of strength just to try to keep my med regimen straight and I'm a pharmacist!! It is almost a full-time job to keep up with all my doctor's appointments. But I know it could be much worse. So I guess I'll just take it one day at time. And pray for strength and healing.
