I just got out of the hospital yesterday. I started feeling like I was going downhill back around January 18th. I got in to see my neurologist on January 22nd and he prescribed a course of IVIG.
To make a long story short - it took several days before I could the IVIG started and I was admited for one day because I could not keep my oxygen saturation up. I finished the 5 day IVIG course and felt a little better. I tried to go back to work, but never really felt good enough to really be there.
The day after I went back to work full-time (February 6th), I could not catch my breath after I got out of the shower. I landed in the hospital getting urgent plasma exchange and was there for 4 days.
When I get more strength, I will try to post my story. It is long as I have been battling this disease for 21 years. I would love to meet others who are also struggling. I don't know anyone else with this disease and most people have never heard of it.
