Hi All,

Well, been gone a bit longer than I intended. We make plans and life intrudes.. It can be a real pain at times.

Since I was active on the site, My uncle had a stroke, his baby bulldog moved into my house as he could not take care of it and her mother, My uncle moved into my brothers house because his daughter is too busy smoking pot to care about / for him, and his sister (my aunt) refuses to let him move in with her.

My mother, being in transition between Montana and Oregon, is staying with friends while she find a house in Portland she likes and cant help him, thus the mess that is my family.

Now my brother decides he is having a nervous breakdown, when all he really needs to do is stop drinking. Hes just kicked my uncle out of his house based on delusions he is having when he drinks and the whole family is worried about the emotional abuse we suspect he is inflicting on his kids.

Thus the intrusion of life and the burdens that it places on us. Most families want to disown an individual, Im the individual that wants to disown the family.

On a very positive side is my wife. While the symptoms have peaked and she is ready to kill most everyone (including me), there are some real big positives. One is something I learned in HepC classes about ammonia levels and impact to the brain.

When you liver cannot process all the protein passed to it, ammonia begins to build up and even very low levels of this can impact someones ability to think, comprehend, communicate, etc. I mentioned this to her medical support team and the prescribed a special laxative that binds to ammonia to rid the body of it, thus her day to day mental activities have become mush more of the woman I married. A great thing.

Then she had a blood test after the 5th set of shots (interferon and blood builders) and her HepC viral load went from over one million to zero. Just after 5 weeks of treatment! Great news!

Anyway, life is good overall. Im letting the family deal with themselves and looking after my wife. Growing up I had to play dad with my brother and had way to many responsibilities dumped on me. To survive over the years, I had to learn to let people have their own crap, be willing to help someone find a path to a better tomorrow without trying to save them.

Most of my family has put themselves in what I consider a crisis mode, me, I decide to live for today and plan for tomorrow without dwelling on yesterday. Thus they are left with self inflicted pain while I am herding sheep and having fun!!

Anyway, Im almost back, have to go to Montana next week to help my mom pack up her house, then I hope to be more active online again.

Thanks for the messages of concern from everyone wanting to know where I went, Im here and hanging on despite the insanity brewing around me Hope you understand if I dont reply to each as there is quite a few.

Talk to everyone soon I hope!!

Sebbo.
