My Story
I was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis December 2012. However, I have been sick for 4 years now. <<Symptoms included: constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating, sinus infections, sinus bleeding, dry sinuses, abdominal pain (sever acute pain, ongoing constant aching, sparatic moving pain), allergies to food, itching allergies (so intense sometimes I would scratch my own skin off, uncomfortable in my own skin) swelling throat, anemia, hypoglycemia, costochondritis, insomnia, weak dizziness shaking, low blood sugar, sluggish, hindered ability to heal cuts, and bruises, (aka auto immune deficiency.)>>> 2012 I had some severe allergic reactions to food, one ended me up in the hospital. I had been treated for celiac disease which turned out to be false, its an allergy to wheat, not celiac. I was diagnosed with IBS (a diagnosis of exclusion). Going from Doctor to Doctor, from one diagnosis to another, from one diet to another- was wearisome, I was emotionally unhealthy and physically dying. I just kept getting sicker and sicker, until all I had was one 'healthy' week out of each month. (As we know malnutrition is key here.) Im convinced had I not met my current doctor when I did, I would have died.
December of 2012 I went to visit him for the first time, I described my problem, and he told me that I had come to the right place. While he was a practicing family doctor, he had been a surgeon of the digestive system for years! HE SPECIALIZED IN MY PROBLEM! OH! sweet relief! It was a miracle, God had lifted the roof off the doctors office and come into the little room i sat in and gave me a big hug! I couldn't believe the thorough explanation I got, the help, and hope this doctor gave me! I started on an enzyme right away. Then I when on for 4 months with out getting a sinus infection!!!! MIRACLE!!!!
This year (2013) has been one of three steps forward two steps back. Ups and downs with health. I have to continually keep my focus on the positive progress and where I've come from, as opposed to where I am currently, and the current pain. Cycles of pain, are ongoing, some worse than others, but with each cycle my faith in God grows stronger, and my body gets more healthy. I battle the lows, they are crippling, I fight to keep my head above the waves, God is my strength and he has helped me this far, he will help me the rest of the way.
