Hanging in there
Binged the last few days. Back up to 164.3 lbs. Could be worse. Time to refocus and I am ok with it. A little depressed the last few days. (Stress from David, Stress from Buddy and 3 dogs, minor stress from work, days getting shorter, getting cooler outside, weight loss went in the wrong direction.) May also be a hormonal aspect to it as well. Have to check my calender but think TOM is due this week. A couple of nights in a row just these overwhelming feelings of life being short, not enough time to do what I want, short days, depression. Last night I did some Wii Walk It Out and switched it to 2pm to experience some exercise and "daylight." It did help a bit. When this sensation hits, I just want to curl up in bed and not do anything and have zero energy.
There is a 9 year old beautiful English Setter purebred on Facebook that is in a shelter because his owner is in hospice care. It completely rips my heart out! I pray he finds a home. I would take him in a heartbeat, but I have to get Buddy adopted first. I got his bio out there and a bunch of photos and hopefully he will be on Petfinder and also Above & Beyond English Setter Rescue's web site this afternoon. I am sure he will go quick. The young ones always do. We will most likely take a break for a few months and then foster again in late Winter. I will pitch in when I can with any events and also transport. It is October and things pick up for me at work. November, December, January, February is what we call "fire season." The month of December I will probably get almost 1 new fire a day and be on the road a lot. I am hoping to get Buddy adopted within the next month. I do have to say, he is doing better in the house. Just can't leave him in the yard with Remmy as he tortures him and bites him and hurts him.
I really really enjoyed my Penn State game on Saturday against Illinois. They won 35-7. My hat and heart goes to the young men who decided to stick it out and stay with Penn State. They have played with such heart. The alumni are so behind them right now.
David is still getting into trouble. He cut at least 1 class on Friday afternoon, if not 2. (at this point, I can't keep track anymore.) He did get some cleaning done this weekend and did get some homework done this weekend so we let him have a little bit of free time to go visit some friends.
Next Wednesday, 10/10, I am taking the day off and going with my Mom and 2 friends to NYC to see "Wicked" on Broadway. I am looking forward to it. Praying for good walking weather. We will have lunch at Club 21 and have reservations already. We take a cushy charter bus. I just pray I don't have any panic attacks. Last time we went to NYC and saw "Jersey Boys" and I had a panic attack at the end of the show. Don't know why. I will drive up my mom's the night before and sleep over since we have to meet the bus at like 6:30am. Ugh! I am SO not a morning person. Will bring my Kindle Fire for the bus ride so I can read, play games and watch movies. At the end of the month, I am going to Florida for a few days to see my dad. I am looking forward to that as well.
So a few negatives but a bunch of positives, so I figured I would change my status to light green smiley face for the day.

Life is always a mixture of positives and negatives. Sounds like you are coping and trying to keep things in perspective. Love ya.
Enjoy Wicked I\'ve heard it\'s great. how did you like Jersey Boys?
It\'s nice to hear that David got some chores done. Hopefully he\'ll start behaving.
Have fun in Fl.
