TGIF!

Went to another fire loss today.  It's been really busy.  Sitting here this afternoon with Kona sleeping at my feet and Remmy sleeping in the bed in my office and I am counting my blessings.  David has been doing ok.  (A few outbursts, but I can deal with that!)  He just loves Remmy!  I have to say, this dog is wonderful!  What a joy!  Very affectionate.  Very well behaved.  A lot of fun.  He makes me laugh.  He and Kona are actually playing together every night.  it is SO cute!  I think he is enjoying all the hugs and kisses and attention and freedom that he has probably never had before!  he is a puppy and I still have to keep an eye out for mischief.  he tried to put his big nose in my coffee cup this morning.  He found a napkin on the floor yesterday and shredded it.  he takes all of the toys out of the toy box and brings them all over the house.  He barks at the sound of a doorbell on the tv, and at the popping noise of my percolator coffee maker in the morning.  (I just made microwave popcorn and he went crazy!)  He has been a little "grabby" taking a treat out of your hand and we have been working with him.  Today, he was so good at taking it gently from my  hand!  I just love my "little" babies!  Even David's  counselor said that he was doing great, he was gushing about our trip and Remmy and smiling the whole time.  And the energy in our house seemed better, happier, more relaxed.  Even Paul has been laughing at him when he goes and lays his big head in Paul's lap and looks up at him with those beautiful sad brown eyes!  David and I go and walk the dogs most nights.
I survived the week and then some.  Glad to get a little break with the weekend coming up.  Hopefully I will be more productive at work next week and get caught up some.  Going to try to get back into my routine of going back to the Y.
