Good News

I did take a Xanax yesterday prior to leaving as I was stressed/anxious.  But was really good drive up to Philly.  And there was even a traffic jam on the bridge which is usually where I freak out and I was great!  I was listening to the Charlie Sheen interview with Howard Stern, so that also helped take the focus off of where I was.  But it went really well and I am happy.  the meeting with the home office people also went really well!  I am working with them on making my job better and I was so happy with how things went and was so happy I was the one chosen to do it!  Had a great conversation with my boss today about how it went and some ideas to make my job better.  I also got my annual review today and I got a "surpassed/outstanding" and got a 6% raise!  Woo Hoo!  This bumped me up to another level.
The sun is out today.  The sky is a beautiful blue.  It is maybe 50 degrees and the snow is pretty much all gone now.  1 small pile left in cul de sac from the snow plow.  Crocuses and daffodils peaking through the ground!  Woo Hoo!
Meeting yesterday for David went well.  No resolution but I guess appears things moving in the right direction.  Slow but positive.  We are getting a drug/alcohol evaluation done and also a psyche evaluation done.  This will give them a place to start.  Then appears David will get 6 hrs of intense therapy a week- home, school, in their office, 1 on 1 and group therapy.  The i's have to get dotted first, but to me, this is the right direction.  There is NO doubt in my mind that the pot, alcohol, cigarettes and even food are him trying to soothe/medicate himself, make himself feel better due to he cannot deal with anything that frustrates him.  He even said to the woman yesterday:  "If you can't get me the ability to talk to and see my sister and brother, then I am not going to participate in any counseling."  Then he says "It's my problem.  It is none of your business and I am going to handle it myself."  she asks "how are you going to handle it?"  "He says I don't know."    Then he got mad, threw the paper and pencil and stormed out of the room.  I said "I rest my case."  She saw first hand just how quickly he gets frustrated and "fights or flees."
Paul hooked up my cable and my new tv in my new kitchen!  Woo Hoo!  he made me coffee this morning.  We went out to dinner last night to the restaurant where Paul and I met 21 years ago:  Stanley's Tavern.  I had salmon baked on cedar plank with rice pilaf and fresh string beans and diet coke.  Yum!  So food is back on track.  Gastritis is getting better.  A little nauseous.  But can deal with it.  Full fledged TOM started yesterday.  Thank God the cramps are gone.  Started a whole week early.  And I got the ok from boss to take Friday off.
