Today is the day 3 years ago that we got Kona. I thank God for her. She is such a blessing from God to me. I woke up this morning and I hear her feet shuffling down the hallway to greet me. She comes running in my bedroom, tail wagging and all excited and licking my face. This is most mornings. How could you beat that? She is such a doll! Today is also the day I had to put Kahlua down 5 years ago. I will always miss her. It doesn't hurt as much now. I can remember her and smile instead of being sad. She was such a great dog. Paul and I got her after we got married. She was our first and only child for 7 years until David came along and she got me through years of tests and infertility and waiting for David. She also helped David when he came to live with us! Kona is the first dog that David really "owned." he was there to help me pick her out on the internet, came with me to go get her and has been a very important part in training her and getting her to come out of her shell.
Paul went to the school today to meet with David's teachers. We are at our wit's end with him. He continues to fail. Just simply not doing his work. either at home or at school. We meet the new counselor with the state Tuesday afternoon to hopefully bump up David's treatment.
I go to Dr's tomorrow for follow up. I do feel better. Not 100% but much better. Our financial advisor is coming tomorrow afternoon. David's karate tournament is Saturday. next week is David's confirmation. Party at 3pm. Going to be a small party. Not many people coming apparently. Shame.
