Stuff

Well, let's see, what is new with me?  David got hurt on skateboard last night.  Said he broke his arm.  I was at bowling.  Paul took David to childrens hospital.  It ended up being just a bruise but they were in the hospital over 5 hrs and did not get home last night until almost 10:30pm.  And, they gave David a sling for his arm like the proverbial band aid.  So now he is using it at school for attention and to get out of gym class.  Paul is upset.  I told him we have to pick our battles.  There are just too many.

I am kind of burnt out across the board, so looking forward to getting away I guess.  It is chilly and rainy here today and my ears and jaw and neck were really sore yesterday and last night.  Just started new antibiotic today and praying to see things get better in next few days.  This whole thing truly makes me appreciate having health insurance.  First round of antibiotics was $60, plus $25 x 2 copay to Dr's office, plus $50 copay to cardiologist when I thought I was having heart attack, plus $5 for prednisone and $25 for antivert.  Now, another $43 for this antibiotic and anther $25 x 2 for copay for dr's visits.  So one ear infection has now cost me over $283 and it isn't over yet!  How do people afford this with no insurance?  I guess they don't.  That is the point.

Going to try to work over the weekend to get some things cleaned up for work.  Not much choice.  But I will sit in my office, turn the phones off and put a movie on so i don't feel like I am working.  It is 2pm here now and I am kind of burnt out so I will play hooky for an hour and go play Wii Walk it Out while David is still at school and Paul is up at a train show.  like I said, blah and rainy out and I feel blah, so that hopefully will perk me up.

Finally bowled well last night:  139, 197 $ 155.  I have a 140 average.  So we won 3 out of 4 games.  I will be subbing on Thursday night for the remainder of the season for a woman is ill.  I also bowl tonight in my own league.  One more week of CRE on Tuesday and that is done.  Got my nails done Wednesday and switched to my Spring color.  Woo Hoo!  Last day of prednisone, so hopefully I can stop being so starved all the time!  I haven't opened up Fitday in 2 weeks.  I think I would cry if I saw the calories!  I have resigned myself to just let it all go until I come back from vacation.  But I will bring my pedometer to Vegas and try to walk, which is easy to do out there.  When I come home, Thursday 4/8, I am getting back on track with a vengeance.  Hopefully the illness will be gone then.  I am currently reading Nora Roberts Hawkins Hollow, book 2 of the Pagan Stone Trilogy.  Hope to have that and book 3 done while on vacation.  My mom will watch Kona while we are away.  She can keep my mom company and vice versa.  I am hoping my mom decides to get a dog soon after we come back, although she is still grieving from the loss of her dog a few months ago.

I bought a new Zune HD and just got it in the mail for our trip.  It is a Microsoft MP3 player, just like the itouch.  I downloaded all kinds of videos for the trip as well.  Paul is still a downer but hopefully, this is his kind of trip and he will improve.  We are going to Vegas for a few days and then the Grand Canyon and Sedona.  I will read my books and watch videos and relax.

Well, gonna go Walk It Out.  Everyone I know who has it is really addicted.  My birthday is in May and I am going to ask for Just Dance for Wii.  I did do 60 minute Zumba class this past Sunday.  And I was fine.  I love Zumba so much!  But the only class I can go to at the Y is Sundays since the other classes are during the day or on evenings when I have other stuff.  This class typically has 60-70 women in it!  Very crowded!  But I love Zumba even more than Wii Walk it Out!

I will try to catch up with everyone over the weekend!  Hugs to all my friends!
