Well, the snow killed me. Killed my schedule. Killed my body! Ugh! 4 total hrs of shovelling snow on Sunday. Got 23 inches. Had to shovel in layers! Got most of the driveway done and front walkway. Paul and I did it together and still took 2 of us 4 hrs! I would go out for a while then come in and take a break then do it again. I took 2 Alleve and we went in the hot tub Sunday night for 1/2 hr and I am still in pain. Even my Glute muscles hurt! Wrists, knees, back, arms, legs, name it. It was so hard! Then, School was cancelled Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! so my 3 days of peace and quiet off work to bake, finish decorating, wrap? Gone! Kids in and out with snow, slush, etc. Most of roads today are good. Roads in developments not so good and NO sidewalks, which is why they cancelled school. They did not want kids walking in the street to get to school or wait for bus. The other down side of this: Sore and not able to exercise. Could not get out to the Y anyway until today but still sore. Also, being cooped up in the house, I have been eating more than I should! So not a real good combination right now. Can't walk the dog. Too many ice patches at night. Ugh! So do or die, my Wii is getting hooked up today or tomorrow. Also tonight is the karate Christmas party. And the kids are in and out, wet pants, wet socks, wet boots. Playing video games when in. Tomorrow I am going to have to find somewhere for David to go so I can get my wrapping done. All that shoveling too just ate up my time that I thought I had. But it does look beautiful. Poor Kona did not want to go out in the storm. She held it in over night. Poor girl. The wind was bad. I got 4 ft snow drifts on the one side of my house!!! We would go and shovel and then 2 hrs later would all be blown back and we were getting 2-3 inches of snow per hr anyway, so we finally gave up on Saturday and figured we would wait until it was all over. Don't want to get on the scale right now. Took Kona to the vet today. She has recurring cistitis and is on special food. So we are waiting for some lab results. She has begun eating mud and I mean eating a lot of it. The one time the other day, she came in and threw up mud all over my off white carpets. What a job that was to clean up. And she cowered afterwards and I felt awful. She didn't do anything wrong. She was such a good girl in the car and at the vet's office. David came with me and that always is a big help so he can sit in the backseat with her and keep an eye on her. That way I can pay attention to the road. So the game plan is: Hopefully survive the next few days. Try to squeeze in some exercise somewhere. After Christmas, get back on track, big time! My biggest challenge right now: sweets and portions!
