Day 4
Finished yesterday with 10,165 steps. Just squeaked in there! Was short about 900 steps last night so jogged in place until I got over 10k. Dinner portions were probably out of whack a little but otherwise, good day yesterday. No junk food, no binges! Today: I am just over 9500 steps right now, so no problem hitting 10k. Went to the Y this am. 35 minutes on the treadmill, 2.24 miles. 25 minutes of uppper body weights, 5 mins of stretches. Writing everything down. Today, coffee, 1% milk, Kashi Strawberry Fields cereal, 2 slices of whole grain double fiber bread, some natural peanut butter and sugar free grape jam. Yes on the water! Up to 50 oz so far. Weight Watchers chicken/broccoll/pasta with alredo sauce for dinner. I have room for a light snack, maybe a piece of fruit & a fat free yogurt. Work is rough. Sent an email to my boss about being so behind. He hears me but who knows what, if anything, will happen. He knows I am working OT. I think his hands are tied though. Claims keep coming, hiring freeze, just not enough people to handle them. Big time pressure from Home Office to close claims and provide excellent customer service. Whoopee! I guess I got it all off my chest, so that is a good thing. I just don't think it will get me anywhere at this point. If they have no bodies, where are the claims going to go? Oh well. Got a "you look good" compliment yesterday which really made me feel good. I put on a pair of black khaki pants and it was the first time in a while I looked in the mirror and felt a little better. Did not look in the mirror and go "Blech!" Think I will take my boss' advice and just log off for the evening and just go read a book or something. My head hurts. A lot of screamers today. One woman gave me her list: She puts $5000 for a stereo that is not worth $500, she put $200 in for a Mickey Mouse plastic gumball machine from 20+ years ago, setting for $15 on Ebay, she put $175 in for a little frog ceramic planter that she probably got for free with a plant that died years ago, she put $800 in for 2 lamp shades that were no more than $49 ea! So I have another battle on my hands. Another woman sent me her list: $199 for an Oster toaster oven! $330 for a Sharp Carousel microwave (countertop!) She put prices down for food like $7 for 1 box of pop tarts! Ugh! People look at me and think they hit the lottery. Oh well.
