I feel pretty good today.  Went to the YMCA 2 days in a row!  35 mins on elyptical yesterday, along with 25 mins of lower body weights and 5 min stretch.  Today, I did 35 mins on the treadmill, 25 mins of upper body weights and 5 min stretch.  My eating since Sunday is great!  Water is so so.  Room for improvement there but not horrible.  On Sunday, I did a 42 min walk with the dog and then 11 min walk with dog.  My steps last week were not great, but so far so good for this week.  I am at 8600 steps so far today.  Last night I was at 9300 steps at 11:30 pm when I was going to bed, so I jogged around my room for a few minutes until I got over 10,000.  Then I went to bed.  So I am determined.  I had a totally healthy eating day yesterday and today.  Yeah!  I tried on my size 12 pants.  Bummer!  Can get them on, can get them buttoned, but not quite zipped without a struggle.  Hopefully, another week or two and I can wear them.  Finally!  My khaki pants that were size 14's were way too tight before.  I have to go into the office tomorrow to pick up my new laptop for work and it is corporate casual.  Phew!  Just tried on my khaki pants and they fit great!   I watched Ruby last night.  2nd episode.  Spoiler Alert! She is frustrated by her workouts and bored and also hit 365 lbs and desperately wants to get to 350 lbs.  She feels she needs to shake things up a bit to get her to the next level.  So her doctor hooks her up with the "fitness guru".  I found him to be a quack.  He tells her that she should not be doing weight training as she will bulk up.  She believes him and leaves her personal trainer, Reese, after working with him for a year.  He also tells her she needs to increase her instensity.  Now I am upset at Reese for not mixing it up and changing her routine.  #1, she has been with him for 1 year and it is all weights and treadmill, weights and treadmill.  #2, she tells him that her knees are bothering her.  She asked if she could use the elyptical or the stationary bike and he says no.  But everything I have read about weight loss, increasing metabolism, reducing body fat, getting healthy, etc, all says that you need to weight train!  Is this guy a moron?  So I found myself screaming at the tv last night saying "No, don't do it!"  Did anyone else see this episode? So my goal for the rest of the week:  maintain my positive attitude, keep doing what I am doing. Food today:  coffee with 1/2 & 1/2, banana, high fiber oatmeal, fat free yogurt, Dole fruit cup in fruit juice, Fiber 1 bar, skinless chicken, asparagus, baked potato (yum!)
