David had an ok day yesterday.  Seems the worst for now has blown over.   But he just cannot face things and finish them:  ie:  cleaning his room, cleaning his bathroom, finishing homework.  Part laziness, part giving up on himself, part ADHD and inability to focus on a task until it is done.  Paul went to the doctor today re:  his problem.  I wish he would go on Lexipro or something.  Just for now.  I am not speaking to him right now.  Probably just as well since I am in my office and focused on getting work done.  But he gets angry and takes it out on me as well and it just gets old.  And we really are not a unified front with my son.  I am trying to pick my battles on both fronts.   Went to my Aspire class at the Y last night.  We talked about "mindfulness."  Not necessarily telling ourselves that we cannot eat that piece of chocolate, which then turns into the entire box without thinking of it.  We did a practice run where this woman brought in really expensive chocolate truffles.  We had to smell it and put a bite in our mouth and let it roll around on our tongue and taste it and feel the way it melted on our tongue and the texture, etc.  It actually was way too sweet and gave me a tummy ache after just one piece.  We talked about mindful living and appreciation of things.  We did some breathing exercises and meditation.  It was interesting.  Then I got on the treadmill.  Now one of my dreams/goals is to be able to "run" on the treadmill for 30 mins.  I can walk, but can't run more than a minute at a time.  Then I have to walk for a while.  So last night I pushed myself a little more.  I ran for a minute, walked for 2, ran for a minute, walked for 2 ish.  I ended up getting 2.73 miles in 45 minutes.  So that was really cool and I felt great afterwards.  Again, another day over my 10,000 steps per day.  Yeah!  And I ate well yesterday.  Even with that one piece of chocolate.   Easter brunch is at a restaurant (for my neice's 18th birthday) and then after at my mom's.  I feel a little left out of the family situation.  My one brother keeps to himself and the sister and other brother do things together all of the time.  My sister is a big manager at QVC and they had their beauty bash this past weekend.  My mom went and my sister walked my mom around and introduced her to all of the people (all of the people you see on tv with the beauty products.)  My mom had to call and just gush over and over.  I guess I am too busy wallowing in my own self pity and I just didn't feel like hearing it.  Then I feel guilty for not being happy for my sister or being happy that my mom had a good time.  Maybe even just a little jealous.  So today I am going to pray for patience and positive thoughts.   I really think that when I get on the scale on Sunday I will see some improvement.  I had gotten to 153.5 lbs, but then crept back up to 156 over the last few weeks.  For the first time in weeks, I feel physically like I am going in the right direction again.  The scale this am said 154 and my clothes feel loose again.  Back to dreaming of those size 12's!
