Feeling pretty good today.  Worked out last week.  Yesterday, went to the YMCA and tried out a new aerobics class called the Nia Technique which is a "movement" class.  After about 15-20 mins, boy I wasn't sure I was going to make it through the whole 55 mins but I did!  Wow!  Cleaned my house yesterday and started to get some Christmas decorations up.  I have let my house go so much.  Dirty and dusty and overall just depressing.  So it is taking me a while to really clean it.  Lots of those beyond normal things like cleaning out bookshelves, wiping down baseboards, cleaning out the refrigerator.  But I am determined.  I can't clean outside of windows due to snow and bitter cold and wind today but I can clean some of the insides.  (Dog nose marks all over door.  LOL!)  I need to whip my body back into shape and I need to whip my house back into shape and I need to whip my family back into shape.  I need my family to get out of their rut and I need to lead by example.  I have a beautiful home (I am truly blessed.)  And I have neglected it.  Several rooms need to be painted.  Need to start doing projects again, 1 at a time.  I was just letting myself getting overwhelmed and not doing anything about anything.   Walked 64,831 steps last week, 24.54 miles on the pedometer.  This was an average of 9200 steps per day.   I am tired of negative, negative, negative.  I am determined to look and feel better.  At home, at work, etc.  I have a picture in my head of the new me and shopping for a couple of cool new outfits for my birthday.  I was talking to one of David's karate instructors yesterday who I really admire.  It is his wife who convinced me to go to the Y class yesterday.  He said that it takes more effort to get there than to stay there, which is the truth.   Looking forward to more energy, more productivity, which will end up meaning more time to do the things I love:  reading, watching movies, going places, crafts, etc.   still tossing and turning at night.  Hoping to sleep better as my health improves and my outlook improves and I deal with stress better.
