Vacation was great but tiring.  Driving around from Tuscon Arizona to Carlsbad NM and points in between.  Went to Old Tucson Studios, Sonoran Desert Museum, White Sands National Monument, Carlsbad Caverns, Gila Mountain Cliff Dwellings, etc.  Was more of my husband's type of vacation- lots of driving, scenery, pictures.  My perfect vacation:  an 8 day cruise on a huge ship to nowhere.  Just me and my Kindle full of books, a Mai Tai or two and relaxation.  Cruises are great.  They make your bed, you eat 24/7, anything you want, there is a casino, there are shows, there are pools, etc.   David has been having some horrible blow ups again.  Off and on.  Screaming, smashing things, refusing to do anything, shutting down.  On our trip, his Nintendo DS wasn't working and the portable DVD player conked out the first day.  I understand that hours in a plane and in a car are boring and that to him, those two things breaking might have been the end of the world.  David just has a real hard time dealing with loss, frustration, anger, etc.  When he gets angry he throws things and breaks things.  Tonight I went to the YMCA after CRE (Catholic Religion classes).  I had dropped David off after class.  When I got home, David was in bed but apparently things went bad after I dropped him off.  He refused to clean up his room.  He broke some rules and then when my husband confronted him about it and said there would be consequences, he began throwing things and smashing things.  He smashed his camera.  A really cheap one but that is not the point.  So I am very frustrated with this.  Scared even.   Back to dieting and working out again.  I had hurt my knees about 4 weeks ago or so when I fell.  I am just determined to lose the weight this time.  I keep saying this and then I slip.  And the scary thing is, every time I slip, I not only gain the weight back, but gain another pound.  So I have to get control.

Sorry I\'m reading your journals backwards, LOL. I\'m checking my email in the order that it was received. I\'m glad that your vacation was fun. I hear you on the Cruise thing, And I ate 24/7 on the cruis I went on! LOL!
I\'m so sorry that David is going into so many melt downs honey. Is there any advice that the CW can give to you? CC said they have counseling for as long as you need it after the adoption for all the transitions of life. I wish that I had that when I was growing up. I know that there are so many confusing factors and horomones that we deal with at that age. I think that\'s the phase of life that my own mother and I had GREAT difficulties with connection and raport. Hang in there sweetie.
