This past Saturday was the karate studio's 20th anniversary and they had a big party.  David did a really cool demonstration.  Have to give him a lot of credit.  He gets up in front of all of those people and does his demonstrations.  I am so proud of him.  He brought home an A and a B on his spelling tests today.  Boy, what this kid could do if he really believed he could do it!  How to get him past the frustration is just my biggest challenge.   Kona had now become best friends with Bailey, the Golden Retriever that lives next door.  She is a real pain though because she wants to go out all of the time to see if Bailey is out.  She doesn't have to do anything, but she runs up and pounces on us to take her out.  This afternoon, Bailey was out and I took Kona over.  Bailey has a radio collar with an underground fence, so he will not leave the yard.  Therefore, Kona can run and run and play and I stay there with her but she won't leave because Bailey won't leave.  And it is SO CUTE to see them running and playing!  And it is the only thing that poops her out!  After a while, they both just plop on the grass.  They are just so much fun to watch.   My car is hitting 96 thousand miles.  Little things are starting to go.  My inspection is due 6/15/08.  I drive for a living.  And it is 7 years old.  So it is time for a new car and really, my husband agrees.  We just can't agree on what car and that just frustrates me to no end because it is MY car that I will be driving every day.  Money isn't the object.  I want a Ford Edge.  Paul says it is an SUV and he HATES SUVs.  But the car he wants me to get, the Ford Fusion, is only like 3 or 4 miles to the gallon better gas mileage anyway!  And my company pays for the mileage.  So I just don't get what the big deal is.  He is such a control freak sometimes.  Most times really.  I love him and most times I try really hard to either give him control or let him think he has control.
