Thank God, I think Kona is going to be Ok.  Took her to the vet's last night.  I am a very emotional person and my husband sometimes has a difficult time dealing with that.  I really had a hard time when Kahlua died.  So when Kona got sick (and I saw blood in her stool), I got very upset.  And when I went on line and looked up the symptoms, etc, I got very upset.  It just triggered the loss of Kahlua and I was crying that something could be wrong with Kona.  My husband gets almost nasty about things.  He is not a mean or unfeeling person.  On the contrary, I think this is his survival mechanism to not let himself feel anything.  But it hurts when he gets mad at me and says I am overreacting.  anyway, Kona had come from the puppy mill and ultimately the rescue.  She apparently has issues with parasites and infections.  So the vet gave me some ointment (she also has mites and mange!) and some antibiotics and some medicine for the internal worms/ghiardia and some other medicine to coat her intestines.  My son went with me (he was so good and I was so glad to have him there with me and I just love the stuffings out of him and count my blessings every day that he is my son.)  Kona was such a good girl at the vet's.  I was so proud of her.  OMG- I was practically bawling on the way home from the relief.
