Well it has been 15 years and I forgot how hard it was (and fun!) to raise a puppy!  We had been searching for a year for a Gordon Setter.  Lots of breeders, no puppies.  Long story short, ended up getting a rescue puppy.  Puppy mill had too many puppies and was going to kill the excess, and the rescue heard about it and went and took all of the puppies.  As soon as I figure out how to download a photo, I will put one in.  She is so cute but like all puppies, into everything and cannot take my eyes off of her or she gets into trouble or has the occassional accident.  My son is in love and is very patient with her.  I have my work cut out for me though.  D got in another fight at school.  He has a big target on his back since he is so sensitive.  Kids pick on him terribly and then he reacts very badly.  A lot of teachers do not have a lot of patience with him.  Yesterday, he accidentally bumped into another kid and the kid started to beat him up.  The other kid is suspended for 3 days.  He is a black belt in karate.  He walks through the door of the karate studio and is like a different kid.  The self esteem and confidence and the maturity!  If he could only carry himself the same way at school, my job would be easy.
