sad day

Well today was one of those days where the system plays it's games.  My sweet son in law had very little choice.  He pretty much had to plead guilty to a crime he didn't commit. We sat in the court room as he cried knowing he was swearing to the court that he was guilty of something he didn't do. Knowing this would change his life forever.  He just wanted this nightmare over. As we sat there I wanted to jump up and say NOOOO!!!!! but I just silently cried knowing how wrong this was.  This boy didnt deserve this. We got him the best lawyer in town.  Charges were reduced from 3 F3's to 1 F4. This gives room now for no jail time but probation.  We sat at the probation office filling out paper work telling about the crime he didnt commit. Now we wait till March for his sentencing.  I pray the judge will see this broken man I call my gentle giant (6'4" beautiful black man) and gives him probation not prison.  I dislike this system that is suppose to protect the innocent and not put them through this nightmare.
