Ugh!

Wednesday, March 10, 2010 - 8:45 P.M.

This will be a very brief entry before going to bed. My Dragon software has apparently gone on strike, so I'm doing the best I can to type this by hand.

It seems as though several things are happening all at one time. My Primary Care Provider, who I really liked, is in the process of being replaced. I found out (actually caught him in the act) he managed to get into my apartment when I was at appointments. Then he had the nerve to ask if he could move in with me. NO! My caregivers were concerned for my safety, so the agency removed him right away.

My physical therapy got off to a slow start, but at least it has begun. The pain in my back continues increasing. My physical therapist thinks it's because I sit in my wheelchair more than 12 hours a day. I have (reluctantly) agreed to let my caregivers put me in bed for about an hour twice a week (more often when my therapy stops) to see if this will reduce my pain, which she says is being caused by spinal compression. The way I feel, I'm willing to try almost anything.

I seem to have picked up a virus that's causing stomach pain (as if I didn't have enough pain already), headaches, dizziness, and drowsiness. Just what I needed.

My medicine problem has been resolved, and the insurance company has agreed to cover my antidepressants again.

Gotta go for tonight, but will try to return soon - if the Dragon cooperates!
