Monday, February 23, 2009 - 6:20 PM My brother came to see me last week, and we had a very good visit. At least we did not shout at one another. We had a nice conversation about our childhoods with each one of us remembering things that the other did not. By the time we were finished for the day, my brother noted that we had gotten through the elementary school years, and that we would have to continue on another day. I am continuing to have blood pressure problems, although it does not seem as bad as last week. My blood pressure bounces up and down like a yo-yo. I believe that I have learned to tell the days on which it is high just by the way I feel. There was some kind of a mix up during the weekend with my CNAs. Although I had told my home healthcare agency, that I would now accept one of the CNAs, who I had decided to turn down, the agency somehow misunderstood what I was saying, and decided to find someone else to help me in her place. I guess that is what happens when I try to do something good. Last week, I purchased a very expensive, speakerphone that I could use. It was supposed to make my life much easier. It is easy for me to hear the people talking to me, but most of those people say that they only hear every other word or so that I say. Since it does not appear to be working right, that means I have to take the phone back to the store where I got it, which is a long way from where I live. That will have to wait until later this week. It is a good thing I have a 30-day warranty. I am still fighting a cold that I got last week. I do not feel like doing much of anything other than sleeping. Maybe that is a way of my body telling me that it needs more rest.
