Saturday, August 02, 2008 – 10:35 A.M. I went to see my doctor yesterday for what I thought would be a “common” urinary tract infection. I was partially right. Although one of his nurses has confirmed MY diagnosis, she said the infection had gotten into my kidneys. I am now being treated for a kidney infection. Last night, I was in so much discomfort that I did not think I would make it through the night. The medication I was given, has already managed to give me some relief today. My doctor also said my depression has worsened, which was probably caused by an altercation I had with my sister this week. I will not go into all the details, but will say I have learned a valuable lesson. Just because my sister is angry with her “boyfriend” and says, they may split up, that does not mean it will actually happen. With that in mind, I should remember to keep my mouth shut and say nothing, rather than tell her how much he is disliked by the family. We argued a lot, she cried, and I wound up send her flowers in the hopes of peace. What woman does not like flowers? I have been trying to balance my checkbook this morning, but cannot account for two checks. I am hopeful that I used them to pay for small purchases. Sleep has been a hard commodity to come by this week, so I plan to spend part of the weekend working on that.
