Monday, July 28, 2008 – 11:58 A.M. I did not feel well for most of the weekend. It was extremely hot outside, but I felt as though I was freezing to death. I managed to sleep a lot on Saturday, which may have helped somewhat. Yesterday, I spent most of my time watching TV. I hoped that changing my normal routine might make me feel better. I am still not sure whether it helped all that much. Two of my CNAs are about to drive me crazy. The one who can no longer lift me (if what she says is really true) was gone for the weekend. That was a pleasant relief! The second one took two nights off, and sent one of her daughters instead. That was okay with me, but if the home healthcare agency finds out, there may be h@ll to pay. I have a good idea that one of the CNAs who got me up this morning is going to make some kind of complaint because she had wanted to work with me. I do not know why there has to be so much pettiness and jealousy. This morning, I went to get physical therapy half an hour earlier than normal, which meant the CNAs had to be here half an hour early. By the way one of them acted (moody and grouchy), one would have thought I was asking her to give blood. She is supposed to leave at the end of August. If she keeps behaving like this, I will see to it that she leaves a lot sooner than that! Quotes for Success: “Our duty as men is to proceed as if limits to our ability did not exist. We are collaborators in creation.” Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

oh, i really like teilhard de chardin. thanks for the neat quotation of his!
sorry to hear about your cna troubles. they sound difficult to deal with. hopefully your agency can help you find better ones. you don\'t deserve them giving attitude to you. i mean, if it was a bad day or something, fine but it seems like a pattern of unprofessionalism. good luck! hugs
I really am sorry you have CNA trouble so often. Wish I could help.

at her defense maybe she wa giving blood already! lol but as a former CNA i had my preference, the lighthearted one, and the one who was mean irratable and grouchy all the time cuz i swear to myself im gonna make him laugh come hell or hig water, he laughed, i love challenges. Deby Davis
This person has absolutely no sense of humor. For someone who is also supposed to be a minister, she certainly can swear up a blue streak!
Well, Jim, you sure have had a kaleidoscope of CNAs.
I hope that one leaves before August, too. She sounds colorful.
If one of you aids can not lift you, then it would seem she should be reassigned.
Lifting in part of your requirements.
I know you will resolve these issues.
You always do.
I am worried about you always being cold, though.
I am sure you concerned, too.
When do you see your primary care physician next ?
Sure do hope it is soon.
It would be good to know why you are having difficulties keeping warm.
