Friday, June 6, 2008 -- 10 AM   I am going to see my social worker at the mental health clinic today. After the week I have had, he is certainly going to hear an earful.   The apartment complex I live in is having its parking lot repaved today. Everybody who has a car must leave the cars parked on the street or elsewhere because the entrances to the complex will be blocked off. Because of this, I am not sure how my transportation is going to pick me up. If nothing else works, they will have to let me know when they are here, and I will roll to the street even if I have to maneuver through the blockades.   Looking back over the past week, I am beginning to think that my sister may have had the right idea about me. I am finally beginning to see that I am filled with anger when it comes to certain things. I do not want to be that kind of person.   There is still no news about the medication I am trying to get from my pharmacy. I finally got to the point where I really needed the medicine a lot, so I asked someone to go to the drugstore for me and pay cash for it. I took some at bedtime last night, and it really worked a lot better than its generic "equivalent."   When I got up this morning, the pain in my back had decreased somewhat. That was not a complete surprise since I told my physical therapist that the pain was less when I was lying down than it was when I was sitting up in my wheelchair. She was not too surprised about that, saying something about there being more pressure on my spinal cord when I was sitting up. She said the "ideal" thing would be if I could get out of my chair during the day and lie down for a while, then get up later on. She realized that I am usually somewhat active and like to get outside whenever I can -- especially during summer, plus that would take additional people to help me.   Quotes for Success:   “Motivating gets you going and habit gets you there. Make motivating a habit and you will get there more quickly and have more fun on the trip.” Zig Ziglar
