Friday, May 23, 2008 -- 11:05 A.M. Physically speaking, I seem to be feeling better today. With the exception of my back, much of my pain has decreased a lot. I am finally beginning to get some much-needed sleep. I do not know how I ever made it through the days and nights without it. I am trying to change my sleeping routine by turning the TV off earlier. That gives me an extra hour or two of sleep in the morning. Emotionally speaking, I feel as though I am at rock bottom. Being at DS has been wonderful for me. I have gotten a lot of help through my friends here. I am beginning to wonder if it is time for me to leave. I realize that I am still carrying a lot of baggage around with me, but I do not know how to get rid of it. There is no easy answer, and I feel a need to get help in making this decision. This is a dilemma for me. If I leave, there is not much chance of my getting any help elsewhere. If I stay, I do not know what to do, or where to go, from here. I feel as though I am stuck in a rowboat without any oars. Quotes for Success: “Yielding is sometimes the best way of succeeding.” Anonymous

Leave?
LEAVE???!!!
Well, truth, only you know the answer to that.
However, if you leave, you don\'t get cake...
Baggage schmaggage. Let us carry some of it to your healing place for you. I\'ll even get one of those big fancy brass rolling dealies to use so I don\'t get tired.
You with me?
Weeble Hugs and Mojo...
Get honest, how many of your \"issues\" are tied up in your drug and alcohol abuse? I see you have some clean time, but still rate yourself as feeling horrible. For me just staying off cocaine wasn\'t enough, I needed to find a new way of life, Cocaine Anonymous showed me how to find it. Ya see, cocaine was my solution to dealing with my issues for so long...At 51 I was forced, (family intervened and sent me to treatment) to look at how self destructive I had become thru my drug use, recovery has taught me a different way to approach life, and at 56 I am at peace with myself, have gratitude for each day, am productive in my career, an asset to my community, LIFE HAS GOTTEN GOOD AGAIN. Hope you are willing to reach out in Denver to a Recovery group. God Bless, enjoy the journey
4DnDallas. How nice it must feel for you to sit back and talk about my \"drug and alcohol abuse.\" You know next to nothing at all about me. I do not have an alcohol problem. How I am feeling has little, or nothing, to do with my cocaine addiction. Had you truly been a friend of mine -- which will never happen -- you would know that I have had several negative things occurring in my life. They -- not drugs -- may cause me to feel horrible. You might have taken that into consideration before bashing me!
Our situations are different. Your family sent you to treatment. I had enough strength and willpower to seek treatment on my own. You\'re recovery \"taught\" you a different way to approach life. My Higher Power, and friends showed me that there is another path in life. It is filled with love, compassion, caring, positive help, support, and encouragement. Maybe there will come a time in your life when you will find out who you are, and who you should be. There is a difference.
Next time you try helping someone, it might be nice for you to ask that person if he or she wants your help. I don\'t, especially from a judgmental hypocrite.
You Should Stay here at DS because you have friends here who can support you when you feel down and depreseed, Which is the reason we are ALL here on this site, you are no different then anyone else here, We are all sort of caught in our life situation, hugs-Stephanie
Wow... talk about making a lot of assumptions... No Mojo for him. LOLOLOL!!!!!!
