Getting Worn Out Here it is just the second day of the week (unless you count Sunday) and I am already getting worn out. I am starting to feel rundown from all of the appointments I had last week. I have just as many appointments this week, if not more. Something has to give. I am going to continue getting physical therapy two days a week for the next eight weeks. This is what my orthopedic surgeon ordered when I saw her last week. My physical therapist said that she would like their clinic to have -- but does not -- a large mat that she could lay me on in order to stretch me out and work on my whole body. I guess that is a blessing for both of us. LOL Keeping in mind the fact that I have a phobia when it comes to using the telephone, I managed to make three phone calls tonight. One was to my sister, to ask her if she would go with me next week to look at the agency where they have service/companion dogs. She agreed to do that either next Thursday or Friday. I made a second call to someone I met in my Anxiety Group. We had become friends there, and after the group ended, we decided to start trading telephone calls, which would (primarily) help me. I have sent her some e-mail, which she requested, depicting angels. Not having heard from her in a few months, I am not exactly sure what is happening with her. The third phone call I made was to my former Narcotics Anonymous sponsor, who I have not seen or talked with for a year or more. I just felt like talking with him and seeing how he is doing. I was unable to reach him, but I did leave a message telling him who I was and saying that I would enjoy seeing him if he would drop by my apartment sometime. I am not exactly sure what is happening to me, but I feel an inner need to become more active in my life. This is a strange feeling, and one that I do not believe I have ever had before now. Maybe I really am becoming goofy!
