Saturday, March 29, 2008 -- 3:20 PM   I have been flirting (but not with humans) with the idea of starting a group on Daily Strength.  Having been a writer for most of my life, and an occasional deep thinker, last night I finally gave in to a yearning in my life to do something positive that could possibly help people.  The result of this was the creation of a group named Disabled Survivors of Sexual Abuse.   At first glance, that name might scare off some people.  If they stay around long enough to give it some thought, and at least look at the group, they might be amazed that they can actually learn something new and useful around here.   I am not writing this entry with the preconceived notion that I will be drumming up business for this new group.  Nevertheless, if one or two people reading this should just happen to pass along what they have read (and seen) to a few others who they feel may benefit in some way from becoming a member of this group, they will be more than welcome to take a look around and contribute to the site.   All sorts of things have been swirling around in my mind recently.  I have more ideas for other groups, and plan on putting them into action in the very near future.  The subject matter of these should appeal to a greater number of people.   I always look forward to taking on new challenges.  If what I have done has helped even only one or two people, then I will still consider it to have been a success.
