Wednesday, March 26, 2008 -- 10:50 AM My new CNA managed to get here on time this morning. That surprised me because I thought she would be home with her boyfriend/fiancé/husband, or whatever his title is today. I guess what she does with her private life is not my business as long as it does not interfere with what she needs to do for me. There was a knock at my door at 7:30 this morning. It was my home health care nurse. She comes to see me twice a week. She was first to arrive, followed by the new CNA, and my regular CNA came third. I said we had enough people here for a poker game. That went over like a flat balloon. I saw my physical therapist yesterday. She said she wanted me to make an appointment to see my orthopedic surgeon. It has been five weeks since I last saw her, and I am still having some pain, which is the reason for the visit. I have not made an appointment yet. Actually, I would rather not see her at all so I am putting it off as long as possible. This afternoon, I am going to see my psychologist. Tomorrow afternoon I will be seeing someone to work on my wheelchair. I do not plan on doing anything Friday other than recuperating from this week. My hectic schedule is easing up somewhat next week since I only have two appointments scheduled. I am not sure what I will do for the rest of the week, but surely, I can come up with something enjoyable to do. Quotes for Success: “Success is simply a matter of luck. Sounds good, all of it.
Loved the poker game schtick. Too bad no one else has your sense of levity.
The smiling faces were really sweet. Thanks for the nice touch, Jim.
