Thanks to everyone who left comments to me on my journal entries. Believe it or not, reading the way you feel really does help me. If nothing else, it helps me see whether others feel that I am on the right track. When I do not get that feeling, I know it is time to look backwards and try to ascertain what I have done wrong, and how it can be corrected. Yesterday morning I went to my doctor's office and retrieved the written prescription for medicine that I needed to help alleviate the pain I have been having in my legs. It took about twenty minutes to get there, and two minutes to get the prescription. Then I had to wait another hour and a half for my ride to get there and bring me home. Of course, I had to wait quite a while since the bus driver had to drop off people and pick up others on the way. That took another hour. Last night, Lois (the CNA I described as being lazy, stupid, and incompetent) arrived at my apartment a little bit early. She sat on my couch and did nothing, a repeat of exactly what she has done before this. When Renée (the good CNA) finally showed up, she saw that Lois was just sitting there, and I could tell from the look on her face that she was already disgusted with her. The three of us went back to my bedroom where I smiled, and then told them that I had not been pleased with the way in which they had put me to bed the night before. I said that my left shoulder had been hurting ever since I had been "slammed" onto the mattress of the bed. I said that I had not made a formal complaint to their office, but that I would do so if it happened a second time. Lois then took three pillows and placed them side-by-side on my bed. She said they were to provide padding "so that you won't hurt yourself again." I looked at her and said that I had not hurt myself the night before -- she did. The transfer to my bed went better, although not without problems. I landed on the edge of the bed just as I had the previous night. Lois then tried telling on me how she thought it was too difficult to get me positioned into the middle of the bed. I said that I found that strange considering that none of the previous people who had helped me felt that way. She kept rattling on and on until René finally told her, "I don't have any idea what you're talking about." I looked at Lois and said, "Neither do I." I was thoroughly happy to see Lois leave my apartment. I am almost hoping that she will make another bad mistake tonight so that I can report her on Monday. This morning I updated my profile -- again. I decided that it was unnecessary for me to include everything in it explaining my disability. Anyone with questions can either read my previous journal entries, or contact me through messages. I\'m up late for me... Can\'t think. Here\'s some Mojo until I can. And a Weeble hug.
Another great job by good old Jim.
I dislike Lois more than yesterday. I hope she disappears on her own.
I just loathe when someone else who makes a mistake, a serious mistake in this case, does not take responsibility for their action and then freaken blames the victim of their misdeed !! Boy, I sure would like to help lift HER into bed. Whoooooops. Sorry Lois.
Great job with the profile.
Next time you go to the doctors for your regular appointment, I hope you consider asking the doctor him/herself, if your pain med perscriptions can be phoned or faxed to the drug store. He, above all people, should be understand your travel situation.
Hope you had lots of cake at the party on Saturday.
You are doing terrific.
My doctor could not call in a prescription for my pain medicine because it was a narcotic, and when narcotics are involved they have to be picked up at the office. I believe that is a state regulation of some type. I might be seeing my doctor later this week because my left shoulder and arm started hurting yesterday and feel the same way today. I can thank Lois for that. A nurse from the home health care agency will be coming to see me tomorrow morning and I intend to tell her exactly what occurred. She will make a report to the head of the agency who (I hope) will replace Lois with someone else. It will not be soon enough for me!
Weebs, thank you for the hug. Do you have any stronger Mojo? If so, I could use a large amount of it!
Mojo is on its way to you...
Mojo is bringing five to ten inches of snow tonight. Thanks a lot! LOL
