Is this only Tuesday? It seems like it should be Friday at the very least. This has been another one of those horrible weeks, and I do not see anything that will make it much better. Sleep came in small bits and pieces last night. Nightmares, flashbacks, and almost constant pain accounted for my staying awake a good part of the night. I have been playing telephone tag with my doctor's office. When I tried calling him, I did not expect to get one of those weird answering machines where first you push one button, and then when a human being does not come on the line, you are given a multiple choice of buttons to push before you are finally instructed to leave a message. A few minutes later, a real live human being actually called me back. I told her that I was having a lot of pain, and needed to get some more medicine from my doctor. I was then told that I needed to have a written prescription, and that I would have to pick it up personally, rather than to have them phone it in to a drugstore. It did not make any difference whether I was disabled are not, either I have to pick up the prescription or my sister does. I finally said that I would pick it up myself. There were a few things I wanted to get accomplished on Friday, and that did not include going to my doctor's office. It is amazing how one small thing can throw off my whole day. In about half an hour, I am going to see my physical therapist again. This week I am seeing her on Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, I am seeing my psychologist, and now, thanks to my doctor, I am going to his office on Friday. Doesn't that sound just peachy? NOT! Hi Jim I know what you mean, I have been having dental ordeals for the past 2 weeks, with more to come. Hope we both hang in there hugs--Stephanie
I am rooting for you Jim.
I thought it was NEXT Tuesday. Been a bad week for me also. Of course, I assure you, it is many times more difficult for you to resolve issues with health and transportation being such a complication.
I am sorry about the hassles you had to go through.
Sometimes, madness reigns. Especially when there are little power mongers telling disabled people who must arrange rides, that their perscriptions can not be phoned into the drug store.
Maybe when you see this doctor next time, you could discuss future perscription issues with him. He might be able to make special arrangements for you. I can not believe that woman would not take just a moment and ask the doctor about your transportation problem.
Hey ! They say spring is coming !!
Man! it sounds like the doctors and workers in the health feild just making your life miserable, and I hope GoodGod is right about discussing future prescriptions with the doctor, that sounds like a good idea, what a pain that woman was being.
