I have always hated myself for being physically disabled.  Although I had nothing to do with the way I was born, the anger still lies within me.  I am hoping to work through this with my psychologist. Throughout a large part of my life, I have been sexually abused and raped repeatedly.  It has left me with feelings of guilt, shame, embarrassment, and anger.  This was not something I wanted to happen, but it was forced upon me by sick, and perverted animals.  They left deep scars within me, which others cannot see. I will carry them with me forever. Their actions have made me frightened to be around "normal" people.  I have many fears that other people will hurt me in this manner again. Despite everything that has happened to me, I am trying to look beyond that, and to see that there are good, kind, and loving people in this world.  I really need to believe this, so that I can start making some good friends in my life.  I must learn to trust people because I know that not every person is evil.  With help from my friends here at Daily Strength, some family members, plus mental health therapists, I know that I can achieve this.  It may take a long time, but I will succeed!

I honestly wish there was some way we could just take those people out and shoot them where it would hurt the most and see them die a slow death. Not sure why we find that we must have someway invited this abuse. My hope for you is that you will continue to see the wonderful man you are and that their truly are wonderful people out there sometimes it\'s hard to see them through the fog of our mind... May God bless you a day of laughter.... hugs

Well, it\'s perhaps not all your fault that you feel the way you do about your physical challenges. When you were born, society wasn\'t as enlightened as it is today, and work STILL needs to be done there. You may have picked up on the attitudes of others. And, as far as needing help and your difficulty in asking for it, whatever you can do for yourself, great. If you can\'t, you can\'t. The laws of physics are pretty clear, and you will just need extra help with some things. : )

Weeble hugs and Mojo.

\" there are good, kind, and loving people in this world. \"

Your words, Jim.
I can see five of them in the comments above me...staring with you, count em, yep. That would be five good, kind, loving people.
