Many thanks to those who gave me kind words of encouragement and support in the comments left following my journal entry yesterday. I spent much of the day trying to figure out what I had done wrong, and what I could do to correct it. The truth of the matter is that I think I have been open and honest ever since I first joined this site. It is true that there have been things that happened to me in my life, about which I have not yet spoken. Those events have caused me to have much pain, sorrow, and sadness throughout a lot of my life. At times, the remembrances of them have almost driven me to the point where I preferred death to life. Although I have come a long way in the past year, I fully realize that I still have a long way to go in my process of healing. Until recently, I felt that most of the people I know here were aware that I am disabled and had to use a motorized wheelchair. I also thought that my true friends would not let that stand in the way of our friendships. If I was wrong, I really wish that someone would let me know. It is interesting. I am not one that normally chooses \" colorful \" wording...oh, maybe just a tad.
This situation..and I will try very hard to be polite...this situation just infuriates me.
For gosh freaken sakes. What kind of morons can be your friend, follow your journal...look at your freaken avatar for gosh darn sakes and not have a clue ! I just do not understand that level of intellect. Oh, I have seen it...just don\'t understand how their wheels turn.
I am not a religious person. I am spiritual. I heard a priest say once, that even if Christ showed up in this day and time, THERE WOULD BE PEOPLE THAT FOUND FAULT WITH HIM..!! I liked that analogy. If this entity is perfect, if he is a form of God..yet the ridiculous can STILL find fault with someone perfect, then true absurdity does exist.
That statement mentioned above has helped me at times when people have reacted negatively to me as a person, or something I have said or done. It is good to remind myself that everyone has faults or weak points. What we need to shield ourselves from is the choice few that feel it is their job to point it out and judge.
You may want to consider that even if an absolutely certifiable person of perfection was in existence, your special friends would be whining and complaining about something. It is all about them..all of it.
You have to be careful with your health. You know your limits. You know what is best for you. I wholehearted agree, that if spending less time on DS is in your best interests, you have my total support.
What I do ask of you is this. Make your decisions based on your health, your abuse issues, and your disability. Do what is best for you. Just consider not basing your decision on the predators that do exist on this site and in the world in general.
You inspired me from my first day on this site. I admire you and respect your accomplishments.
Take care of yourself. You are precious.
Again, same advice as yesterday..screw em. Block them out and use the ignore button...just walk right past them onto what is right for you next in your life.
