10:30 AM – M.S.T. Despite being sick for the past ten days or so, I am slowly beginning to get back to normal. I have tried keeping indoors as much as possible during this period so that my virus will not get any worse. Keeping me cooped up may be responsible for my getting well sooner than normal, but it is now beginning to drive me stir crazy. Although I do not usually like to go out very much, I now find myself thinking that if I do not get out and away from my apartment soon, then I am bound to wind up wearing a straitjacket. I know that in the past it has not done much good for people to tell me that I need to get out, but that message is finally sinking into my thick head. What I am feeling now is an urgent need to go somewhere -- anywhere as long as it is away from here. This coming Saturday, I have been invited to a birthday party for my three-year-old great niece. I hope that I will be healthy enough to attend the party because I will be able to see a few family members who I have not seen in two or three years. (That has been their fault, not mine.) I have some tentative plans for next week, which will also get me away from my apartment for a day or two. The one drawback there is that I am starting to get so many medical appointments that I hardly have any time to do anything else including breathe.
